MRE. (n.) American ration packs which are often blagged, stolen or bartered by British Army Soldiers looking to vary their diet. Although they are actually pretty fucking horrible in a typically American way (menus include all sorts of dubious shit: I've got one here that claims to be Beef teriyaki, for fuck's sake), MREs contain a clever widget which heats up the food for you, as well as little bottles of Tabasco which can either be added to food to improve the taste, or snorted up the nose during drunkenly suicidal post-endex piss-up games.
Beef teriyaki is actually one of the better options, especially compared to some of the pasta options. The main drawback of MREs is that the food-heating widget doesn't leave you with any hot water, hence no brew. A secondary though no less inconvenient drawback is the MR-rrhoea induced from several days of a steady diet of "BBQ Beef Patty" and "Country Captain Chicken."
