An insignificant country in South America populated by roughly 30 million pan flute players. It was once home to the great Inca Empire (8,000 - 3,000 BC) which was wiped out by the Spanish in the 16th century. After claiming independence in 1821 Peru focussed on several wars with neighbouring countries.
Apart from its pan flute bands Peru's most important export product is mulled wine. Only those who have successfully passed Selection have unlimited access to this very special drink.
Peruvian authorities has been guilty in the past of forced eviction of Peruvian natives who have ultimately arrived in Britain.
