30 Signal Regiment
Located at Gamecock Barracks, Bramcote, near Nuneaton in the West Midlands.11 Signal Brigade's fast response globetrotting regiment, issued primarily with satellite communications assets - VSC501 and smaller manportable equipments such as the lightweight reconnaisance network (LWRN).
Recently (early 2005) issued with the new Cormorant wide area trunk communications system for use by JTFHQ and sub-component commanders at strategic and operational levels.
The regiment is made up of:
- 250 Gurkha Signal Squadron
- 256 Signal Squadron
- 258 Signal Squadron
- Support Squadron
The white swan emblem was gifted to the regiment by the Worshipful Company of Dyers, one time patrons of the regiment. The regiment also had a strong affiliation to the Channel Island of Alderney.
