The BMPT-72 is built on the chassis of the T-72 Main Battle Tank which is used in large numbers by the Russian Army and has been manufactured under license by many other countries.
Unofficially called the "Terminator" by its manufacturer, the BMPT-72 is a tank support vehicle, often safeguarding MBT types in urban conflicts.
