Camel Drills

Back in the days when we ruled over vast tracts of desert it was said that the camel was a vital war-winning weapon. That being the case it needed weapon drills, or more precisely, camel drills.

Here’s an example, as delivered by a camel instructor:

  • Camel camelling alright. Camel STOPS!
  • Jump off, hump off. On looking inside you find water in the hump and water in the camel. Hump on, jump on, carry on camelling.
  • Camel camels one or two more times. Camel STOPS!
  • Jump off, hump off. On looking inside you find no water in the hump and no water in the camel. Pump water into hump. Hump on, jump on, carry on camelling.

And so on…

With current procurement policies the way they are it’s possible that these drills could once again become necessary. Learn them now to save time.
