Can-Am Bombardier

Military trials bike used before the MT500 and usually referred to simply as the Can-Am. Thought of as underpowered and plastic when first introduced they in fact turned out to be plastic and underpowered. Still, with a map taped to the fuel tank they could even make a convey controller look somewhat ally as he rushed back from the “supply depot” with pizzas stuffed into the panniers. Anything heavier, such as ammunition or other unnecessary equipment, made the bike nose-light and the rider back-of-the-head-sore.

Still in use with the Belgian army (bless).

Having said all that, they were actually good fun and reasonably reliable given the punishment they took.
