From the Bahamas just off the Septic coast of Florida, down an island chain 2,500 miles long to Trinidad and Tobago off the Venezuelan coast, the Caribbean is, on the surface, a nice spot to visit.

...Unless of course, you are wearing an orange jumpsuit and on your way to that beautiful holiday hotspot, Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.

Mainly ex-British Empire, thus still speaking English, the Caribbean islands and sea are a favoured destination for cruise ships and holidaymakers with an interest in rum, sex, pirates, sex, sunshine, drugs and sex.

Bits of it are known to cricket fans everywhere as the West Indies, home of some fearsome bowlers.
