Category talk:Units and Organisation
I think this category is rather pointless. Units should go under their respective corps. I might have to decimate this cat. --Buck Felize 08:26, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah see your point. Ummm...while we can capture the 'Regiments and Battalions' piece in Cat:Regiments & Corps, what do we do about those elements that don't fit into that bracket i.e. one could argue that NAAFI and SSAFA rightly belong in Cat:Military Organisations or something similar? Just saying that I think there may be a sustained need for Cat:Org. Proximo 08:56, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- When this cat has been cleared out of actual units, I will rejig it as a simple 'Organisations' cat for stuff like the FANY etc. The units are getting catted under their respective corps.
I might even start a new cat for the defunct units... or would they be best left in Regiments and Corps?. Buck Felize 13:29, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Right, here's another go ....
Units and Organisations Bin the Regiments & Corps cat, changing it to U&O or a sub cat
Sub sub cats
Royal Artillery, Infantry, RLC etc
Things like Brigades belong in the U & O cat. Stuff like FANY could go into U&O cat.
The plan would be to suggest the best place to start looking for any unit or similar is the Britsih Army cat then pick the suitable one below.
I'd bang defunct units into the appropriate Regt & Corps categories.
Non British Army stuff belongs in the Int Mil & Agencies cat
Do we concur chaps? FluffyBun 15:08, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well... it seems logical enough. In the meantime, I'll keep consolidating all the scaley, loggie stuff et al under their respective corps. Buck Felize 16:17, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
