DAF

Not as rugged and by no means as Squaddy proof as the Bedford that it was introduced to replaced, it still tried to fulfil all the roles that the Bedford Four Tonner had for years managed to sucessfully carry out.

Unoftunately, although monikered as an off-road vehicle, it is no match for the Bedford MK.

A small design flaw in the DAF also means that, although designed to replace the Bedford MK, it cannot cope with the weight of some of the Siganls Box Body equipments, therefore half of the Royal Signals comms vehicles are still based on the Bedford variants.

Also used as joking acronym "Deliverer Of Airborne Forces"
