The British Military Open Encyclopedia - ARRSE-Pedia. Back to British Army Rumour Service Home
Previously home to the 33rd and 76th of foot (DWR) and a great TAC. Still home to the huge Halifax Bank.
You'll find the army recruiting office opposite the library in the town centre. The DWR Regimental Museum is still in the town [1].
