JADOCS stands for Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System.

To the warfighter, JADOCS has become a critical 'go to war' planning and execution tool. It is presently being used in OEF and OIF by the COCOMs, Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, Special Operations Forces, and Coalition Forces at multiple levels.

While originally developed to reduce the sensor-to-shooter timeline for time-critical strikes, JADOCS has evolved into a comprehensive JC2 tool, providing horizontal and vertical integration, Joint system interoperability, and improved situational awareness across the military decision-making process.

JADOCS has enabled dramatic improvements in the sensor-to-shooter timeline, elimination of friendly fire incidence, and unprecedented improvements in Time Sensitive Target (TST) prosecution effectiveness. JADOCS enables the Joint Force Commander, Component Commanders, and supporting tactical-level forces to conduct and deliver operational and tactical level Joint Fires across the entire engagement spectrum, from planning to execution, for pre-planned and TST, and has proven invaluable in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

JADOCS interfaces with other tactical systems: Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Naval Fires Control System (NFCS), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), All-Source Analysis System-Remote Workstation (ASAS-RWS), Maneuver Control System (MCS), Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS), and intelligence and imagery servers. JADOCS evolved from a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) technology demonstrator, to sponsorship in a series of Army-led Joint Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs), to a deployed operational capability. JADOCS is truly a 'born Joint' system, which provides interoperability and integration of over 20 Service-specific systems. There are tremendous opportunities in the Joint Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) realm, and JADOCS is providing critical capabilities in this area.
