The capital Vilnius is dominated by the Ministry of Defence building which has a conference room as cosy as a communist bunker.
Lithuania is a member of the European Union and a member of NATO. As of late 2008 it has about 200 troops serving in the Ghor province of Afghanistan. Which is vastly more than their tight Northern neighbour Latvia who only managed to send 70.
