MACP
Military Aid to the Civil Power.
A subset of MACA.
Used in the maintenance of law, order and public safety. Normally initiated by the Police through the MOD. Additional support can be made through Training & Logistics Assistance to the Civil Police (TLAP).
An example would be Op Flak , where aid was given to the Police to guard Heathrow.
MACP does not include normal SAR and EOD taskings, which are covered by standing arrangements, but they can play a part in a wider MACP task.
