Malayan Emergency

Although the last Communist guerilla didn't surrender until the peace deal was signed between the MCP and the governemnt of Malaya in 1989, the Malayan Emergency is generally accepted to have run from 1948 through to 1960.


Notable to the British Army, it saw the resurrection of the SAS, a successful Hearts and Minds campaign and provided the background to Leslie Thomas' book The Virgin Soldiers.


A good book, a good sequel and the sequel turned into a film where Pamela Stephenson got her tits out.
