No9 Bullpup Rifle
Rifle, Automatic, No9 Mk1, Also known as the Enfield EM-2, cancelled due to NATO ammunition commonality agreements. Attempts were made to re-chamber it in 7.62 NATO but a number of factors precluded this and would have made it more expensive than the L1A1.
The rifle is fairly well-balanced, and was one of the first to be designed with a (1x) optical sight as standard. The sight had an inverted-post reticule, which allows the user to use "Kentucky hold over" for targets at longer ranges.
An interesting design, but ultimately a dead-end.
