Plank

Jump to: navigation, search

A plank is a long flat piece of wood, invariably, somewhere in the region of 2 inches too small to get you safely over the shark infested custard in your Command tasks.

Also a dullard or dimwit: as in thick as a plank.

Also a slang term for a member of the Royal Artillery, derived from the First World War when collapsing gunpits were shorn up with the bodies of dead Gunners.

Used by AAC to describe fixed-wing aircraft eg Defender AL1 - as in a flying plank.
