Poitiers

The Battle of Poitiers was fought at Poitiers (oddly enough) on September 19, 1356, at part of the ongoing spat between the English and French that was the Hundred Years War.

Notable for the fact that the english archers ran out of ammunition (MoD cheapness yet again?) and got stuck in in Hand to Hand Combat. Poitiers was a repeat of the battle of Crecy showing that inability to learn from history is not restricted to the 20th/21st century.
