Royal Army Service Corps
History
Initially the Royal Waggoners, raised in 1794, the ASC was formed as a corps in 1888 from the Commissariat and Transport Staff (officers) and Corps (ORs). It received its royal prefix following the Great War and was eventually absorbed into the RCT in 1965.
