|A summers day in Scarborough|
Scarborough, Britain’s first seaside resort, has been causing hypothermia in visitors for over 360 years and is still as popular with the masochistic as ever.
Scarborough is a great place to stay for a holiday or short break if your idea of a good time is seeing how many sets of thermal underwear you can get on under your parka.
The beaches are safe, sandy and accredited ... its a pity the howling gale from the North Sea renders them a barren wasteland fit only for suicidal penguins and SBS selection. The water should only be entered if wearing a full immersion survival suit and even then only if you have a paramedic team on standby.
Even Geordies have been known to put a cardigan on in Scarborough.
In other words ... its cold.
