UAV - Uninhabited Air Vehicle
(Or Unmanned Air Vehicle if Political Correctness has passed you by)
Catchall term used to describe something that flies around without the aid of a steely-eyed killer strapped into it. In an Army context it tends to refer to items with cameras on used to support operations on the ground.
Currently the UK has Phoenix which is operated by the Royal Artillery.
